Zuckerberg’s ever-changing colossal social hub. With added thumbs. You’ll Like itwww.facebook.com
If you don’t have a facebook account by now, this might just change your life a little bit.
And by a little bit, I mean massively.
Facebook is quite possibly the most perfect social hub ever created, allowing users to gather every part of their online and offline life into one place. With various add-ons and applications to expand your experience, Facebook also works as a passport for many other sites, allowing you to log on with your Facebook account and comment on sites without having to go through the long-winded process of creating individual accounts for every site you want to interact with.
The hub aspect of it is soon apparent, when you start to link accounts from other social sites. Every large social networking site has an option to link itself to your Facebook account, so that you can share your online activities with your friends. For example, if you link Twitter to Facebook, your Twitter statuses (or tweets) become Facebook posts automatically, and if you link Youtube to Facebook, every video you upload, like or comment on is instantly shared with your friends.
And Facebook Like Pages allow you to keep in the know with your favourite celebrities and organisations. Just give them the thumbs-up and you’ll be kept up to date with all their posts directly to your newsfeed.
Even without all the outside contribution, Facebook is a fantastic site all on its own. Everything about it encourages user-to-user interaction and once you use Facebook, intensively or not, you’ll find it hard to imagine never having an account.
